Once her oldest child was 5 years old she was tired or wiating around for an opportunity to arise where she and her family could volunteer as a unity and teach valuable lessons to their children. She decided to take action and start something new. A place where people can come together to do good things just because its the right thing to do.
There shouldn't be so much red tape and hassle involved in trying to make a positive impact on our community. There was a need for a place where people with great hearts could join together and "be the change they want to see in the world."
Hence, Community Kids was born!
Community Kids was founded by a mother who was looking for ways to volunteer with her children and was having a hard time accomplishing what should have been an easy goal.
She found there were oftentimes age restrictions that wouldn't allow her young preschoolers to participate. Some places required hours worth of orientation which never fit into the family's busy schedule. Other times there were just not enough options in terms of the dates and times needed for volunteers.
